How I plan to thank everyone for getting me started!

First of all, thank you for checking out my site.

In a moment I will tell you about my plans for a free gift to everyone that becomes a fan of my Facebook author page, but i'd like to say a few words first.

It always brings a smile to my face when I check the stats and see the needle has moved. I know full well that it is an uphill slightly generating attention for anything, and I appreciate it when I see new names filtering in, many referred by friends.

I really do enjoy it when people read my work, and because of that I have decided to have a little fun with my push to reach 100 "fans" for my Facebook fan page. My personal page has around 400 friends, and while I would assume many of them may not read extensively for pleasure or have other genres or authors that they prefer, I have always considered 100 sets of eyes as the "critical mass" point where I can effectively segway from advertising my writing on my personal page and move it entirely to the author page. It can be found here.

Many of you have already made the trek over to it and clicked the "Become a Fan" button at the top of the page. Some of you have even referred friends, which is awesome.

The ultimate goal is to draw even more attention to my writing, so that when my first full novel is finished later this year mindshare watershed will have grown enough to make as big an impact as possible.

So to show my appreciation for both those of you that have already signed up and to encourage more to do so, I will do this-

When the page reaches 100 fans, I will give every member of the page a free ebook, a grouping of a couple of my stories as a small "Thank You". They will be in .pdf format, so that those that choose to read it on their ereader will be able to do so, and that those that wish to print it out for offline reading will not have to wrestle with printer formatting.

(If anyone has a ereader that will not accept .pdf, let me know and I will convert it to .azw format, (as far as I know the only model that might have issues with pdf's would be the first gen kindle.

The stories chosen have already been selected, and one of them is already for sale online, "Where I Can't Follow". The other one is a story that I can guarantee none of you have seen yet called, "auto/correct".

Its a fun little science fiction comedy that I actually started writing recently with this promotion in mind.

These first 100 fans will receive this story as well as a story that retails for .99 on Amazon and BN.com.

So, not exactly a free Ferrari, but still not a bad deal for two seconds of your time ;-)

So if you know anyone that might be interested in checking out my work, please invite them to start by becoming a fan of my Facebook page. If you know anyone who enjoys reading, I would love to have their support, and every referral brings you a little bit closer to your free ebooks.

Thanks again, and I can't wait to share with you guys what I've got coming up in the following weeks!
